Computer Science

High Point University invites applications for a tenure-track position in computer science in the Department of Mathematics & Computer Science beginning August 2012 (pending final budgetary approval).

The area expertise is open, but the successful candidate will have a broad interest in emerging technologies in computer science that excites students and promotes undergraduate research. Position responsibilities include: teaching three courses per semester (including an occasional first-year seminar course), professional development, student advising, and university service. A Ph.D. in computer science is required, and someone with teaching experience is preferred.

Mathematics

High Point University invites applications for two tenure-track positions in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science beginning August 2012 (pending final budgetary approval).

Preferred areas of expertise include geometry, analysis, and applied mathematics, but all strong applicants are encouraged to apply. Position responsibilities include: teaching three courses per semester (typically two preparations), professional development, student advising, and university service. Teaching responsibilities may include both introductory and upper level mathematics courses. A Ph.D. in mathematics or a closely related field is required, and someone with teaching experience is preferred.
